About Me

My name is Ethan Tran. I am a senior at Diamond Bar High School, and I am passionate about medicine, cancer biology, research, computer science, and using technology to solve meaningful problems. I am especially drawn to work that connects science with service because I want the things I learn to eventually help real people and families.

A lot of my interests come from being curious in both the classroom and hands-on settings. I have taken courses such as college-level biology, AP Chemistry, computer science, and engineering-related classes, while also learning through experiences like building computers and exploring how technology can support healthcare, communication, and problem solving.

Community service has also shaped who I am. With hundreds of hours dedicated to serving others, I have learned the importance of consistency, empathy, leadership, and showing up for people even in small ways. Whether I am volunteering in healthcare, helping organize student clubs, or mentoring younger students, I try to bring patience, responsibility, and genuine care into what I do.

Outside of academics and service, I enjoy playing basketball, spending time with my family, and trying new restaurants together. Those moments keep me grounded and remind me that growth is not only about achievements, but also about relationships, discipline, and enjoying the everyday parts of life.
